Salmon Fishing in Ludington
Ludington is synonymous with Great Lakes charter fishing.
Since Lake Michigan sport fishing
began its rejuvenation in the
early 1970's, Ludington has been the focal point for
charter fishing on eastern Lake Michigan.
In
the past decade,
more charters have originated, and more trout and salmon have
been caught out of the port of Ludington than any port in the
state of Michigan. The waters between Big Sauble Point to the
north and Little Sauble Point to the south offer the big-lake
angler some of the most exciting fishing to be found on
Michigan's Gold Coast.
Proximity to deep water,
excellent offshore structure, warm shoal waters, and natal river
mouths make a perfect habitat for growing fat and sassy trout
and salmon and make Ludington, Michigan the perfect place for
all
seasons.
